Evaluation of training programs plays a very important role in assessing the effectiveness of a program in achieving the learning objectives that have been set. This study aims to ignite the Exotic Channa Contest Indonesia Judge Training Program organized by PT Gabus Kontes Nusantara using the CSE-UCLA evaluation model. This model includes an assessment of the aspects of needs, design, implementation, and results of the training. The main theory used as a reference in this study is the theory of evaluation of educational programs and professional competency development. Through initial observations and studies of related articles, several problems were found in this training, such as the suitability of the material to the judges' competency standards, the effectiveness of the learning methods used, and the impact of training on improving participant skills. The importance of this study lies in the need to improve the quality of judges in conducting objective and professional Channa fish contest assessments. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which the training program can meet the needs of participants and provide recommendations for improvement. The uniqueness of this study lies in the application of the CSE-UCLA model in the context of ornamental fish competition judge training, which is still rarely done in Indonesia. It is hoped that the contribution of this study can provide recommendations for organizers in improving the effectiveness of judge training programs in the future.
